Tired of Blogging

I've noticed something about bloggers. Some are born to blog, some blog because they can, and others just blog. I have finally come to the conclusion that I belong to that third category. What I had expected to be a source of fulfillment has mostly proved just to be a drain of energy. I actually enjoy reading the writing talents of others and commenting much more, so from here on out I will focus almost exclusively on that.

Removed Two Posts

After taking time in reflection, I have removed my two posts concerning Liberal Baptists. What I said was in anger and scorn, and not in Christ-likeness. Though I believe very differently from those whom I would identify as "liberal" or even "moderate," my proud, arrogant tone was sinful and the only solution I know of is to remove my posts and admit my error.

I do not know if anyone actually reads any of these, but if so, you have my apologies for posting them. I pray for wisdom to not repeat this mistake. And above that, I pray for wisdom in seeking to teach and proclaim the Word of God accurately, under the Lordship of Christ and guidance of the Holy Spirit. Please pray for me in this regard.

Theme Song For Cain

Genesis 4:10-14 (King James Version)

10 And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground.

11 And now art thou cursed from the earth, which hath opened her mouth to receive thy brother's blood from thy hand;

12 When thou tillest the ground, it shall not henceforth yield unto thee her strength; a fugitive and a vagabond shalt thou be in the earth.

13 And Cain said unto the LORD, My punishment is greater than I can bear.

14 Behold, thou hast driven me out this day from the face of the earth; and from thy face shall I be hid; and I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond in the earth; and it shall come to pass, that every one that findeth me shall slay me.

One of my favorite songs is "Wherever I May Roam" by Metallica. If there was ever a theme song for Cain, this is probably it. Maybe it's not an exact match, but I sense the same strains of spiritual lostness and unsettledness here. Or at least, I think so.
